Clean Washing Machine
If the inside of your washing machine is looking a little dirty or getting stinky, wash it with vinegar! Combine ½ cup white distilled vinegar with ¼ cup baking soda and ¼ cup borax. Pour the mixture into your washing machine and wash a regular load of laundry to clean away dirt and grime. For serious cleaning, add the vinegar-baking soda mixture directly to your washer’s drum before you start a load of laundry. Rinse with hot water and dry before putting the filter back into place. Then just get rid of any excess water that may be left in your machine and pull out the filter to inspect it properly.
Clean the Microwave
Vinegar is an excellent substance for cleaning hard-to-reach places in your microwave that are dirty or full of dust after cooking something. Pour some vinegar into a microwave-safe bowl and heat on high power for 5 minutes, allowing the vinegar to steam. Then use a clean cloth or paper towels to wipe away any dust or residue from your microwave. You can even add lemon juice to create a germ-killing mixture that will help eliminate any bacteria left by previous meals.
Clean Your Blinds
Your blinds are probably one of the most challenging places in your house to clean. However, they become dusty, grimy, and dirty pretty quickly if you don’t! Use a spray bottle with 1 part water and three parts white distilled vinegar in it to moisten your blinds. Then wipe them down with a cloth or microfiber cloth to remove dirt and grime. To finish, buff them with a clean, dry cloth to eliminate any excess moisture.
Clean Your Oven
Ovens are the home’s hub for cooking food, but they can also become one of the dirtiest areas in your house! Use half water and half vinegar in a spray bottle to moisten the inside of your oven. Then let it heat up to loosen tough dirt and grime that may be stuck in there. Finish cleaning with a damp rag or sponge and dry any excess moisture with a clean towel or cloth.
