Degreaser
If you need to remove grease stains from your stainless steel, a degreaser is the product of choice. Apply it directly to the stain, let it sit for about 15 minutes, and then wipe it down with a clean cloth. Be sure to rinse the surface with water afterward, as degreasers can be corrosive and damaging to stainless steel surfaces.
WD-40
You can also use WD-40 to clean stainless steel. Just spray it onto a cloth or sponge, and then wipe down the surface. WD-40 is a lubricant, so it might not be as effective at removing dirt and stains as some of the other products mentioned.
Barkeepers Friend
Barkeepers Friend is a popular cleaner for stainless steel. It has an abrasive texture that makes it excellent at removing dirt, grease, and stains from your appliances without damaging the finish on them. To clean with Barkeeper’s Friend, apply some powder directly onto a damp cloth or sponge. Rub the powder onto the surface in a circular motion until you remove all dirt and stains. Then rinse off any excess cleaner with water.
Citric Acid And Water
If you do not have any Barkeeper’s Friend on hand, you can also use citric acid to clean your stainless steel appliances. Just mix one part citric acid with four parts water. Apply the mixture to a cloth or sponge, then scrub down your stainless steel appliances. Be sure to rinse off any excess cleaner with water afterward, as citric acid can be corrosive if left on surfaces for too long without being wiped clean.
Salt And Baking Soda
You can also use salt and baking soda to clean your stainless steel appliances. Mix one part salt with four baking soda, and then apply the mixture directly onto a damp cloth or sponge. Rub it into the surface of your stainless steel in a circular motion until you remove all dirt and stains. Rinse off any excess cleaner with water afterward.
